Join us in London for a comprehensive one-day round table on the challenges of investment screening. Screening of foreign investments for security concerns is rapidly expanding in both scope and complexity, as is the need for legal professionals to be able to navigate the complexities of foreign investment. Based in the heart of UK’s vibrant capital city, this course provides an essential insight into investment screening mechanisms in the UK and Ireland with an additional focus on investment screening in financial markets.

  By examining three jurisdictions per edition, participants develop comparative best practices and strengthen their ability to anticipate regulatory challenges across borders.
• Industry-specific sessions
  Each edition focuses on key industries, with a focus on sectors covered by the Directive (EU) 2022/2557 on the resilience of critical entities, providing insight into how these sectors operate in practice. 
• Public-private dialogue and trust-building
  Each country-level session is guided by an official from the screening authority and a private practitioner expert. This joint approach deepens mutual understanding and builds trust among actors involved in complex investment transactions.
• Small-group interactive sessions
  Participants engage with authorities and peers in a trusted, small-group setting. This format enhances practical skills while fostering meaningful professional networks across the European investment screening community.
