Economic security is increasingly becoming a central theme of European industrial, trade, and investment policy. Companies are operating in an ever-more-complex environment shaped by investment screening, export controls, industrial policy, and geopolitical tensions.
Against this backdrop, the BDI and the German Chapter of the CELIS Institute will once again host the “Investment Screening Konferenz” in Berlin on December 16, 2026.
We are pleased that Martin Blessing, the Federal Chancellor’s Personal Representative for Investment, will open the event with a keynote address.
Together with high-ranking representatives from politics, government, business, and academia, we would like to discuss the future of European economic security. The focus will be on relations with the U.S. and China, the diversification of value chains, strategic technologies, and the interplay of various regulations relevant to economic security.
Conference language: mainly German; with English interventions.
