Ruth Allen

Ruth Allen is CELIS Country Reporter for the United Kingdon.

Ruth Allen is a professional support lawyer in our competition, regulation and trade practice, based in London. She provides technical advice to clients and colleagues on issues of both substantive competition law and procedure, and is also responsible for know-how resources and training programmes. Ruth previously worked as an associate in the team, and has a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious experience across all aspects of EU and UK competition law in a wide range of sectors.

Ruth has a particular interest in foreign direct investment regulation. She regularly writes briefings on the latest FDI developments as part of her editorial role for the firm’s “Competition Notes” blog, and is also a co-author of a chapter on global trends in the GCR Foreign Direct Investment Regulation Guide. She was closely involved in detailed discussions about the scope of the UK’s National Security and Investment regime during its passage through Parliament, and regularly assists colleagues advising on the application of the regime.
