Investment Screening-Konferenz von BDI und CELIS German Chapter
Globalisation appears to be more and more exhausted. World trade as a guarantor for prosperity and growth remains closely linked to questions of defence and national security. Particularly in the systems competition between the USA and China, more intensive investment controls at home and abroad are becoming a central political issue. For companies, investment controls are associated with bureaucratic effort, legal uncertainty and additional costs. It is therefore important for industry that policymakers and authorities strike the right balance between state control and open markets.
Against this background, we are organising the second Investment Screening Conference with the BDI. We want to discuss the further development of the existing investment control regulations and the framework of the necessary economic security with members of the German Bundestag and experts from politics, administration and business. The focus will be on national and European regulations and plans for foreign direct investment (FDI), increasingly restrictive FDI controls in the US, and the topic of economic security in technology competition.
Please Note: The event will be in German with a only a few interventions in English. For more details see the attached program.
